A Summer Wedding in Puri

Another middle class wedding , another aspiration of a celebration . Replete with shortcuts and an Icarian attempt to reach the hall of nothingness. 

It's the halo that counts . 

The cynic smirks at the plastic, the kitsch , the spits and the pride of achievement of social couture . The guest in me is politely apologetic and plays along as the finery and brilliance fails to cover the sheer neglect of existence . 

The momentary indulgence in food finery and entertainment that fails to mask that next bit added to the bitter degradation of our present ... I wish the bride and groom a very prosperous and happy married life...crunch !
